This course covers the application of skills and knowledge required to provide nursing care for people across the health sector by an enrolled nurse working under supervision of a registered nurse. With an emphasis on caring as the core of nursing with nurses making a conscious effort to preserve human caring within their clinical, administrative, educational, and/or research practice.

  This program is still undergoing the accreditation process with Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC), and is currently only accredited with (ASQA) and CRICOS approved.

Requirements

Basic computer skills are required for this qualification and delivery. 

Access to a computer, the Internet and an active email address and capacity to complete the assessment items within the required time frames is required.

  • Develop skills to assist clients with acute and chronic health issues

Professional Experience Placement

Professional experience placement is fully faciliated by Queensford College, as part of course delivery. 

A Queensford College Placement Coordinator will be coordinating between the student and the host placement facility that include Regis Aged Care and the Wesley Hospital.

Clinical Training Facility

Brisbane Campus Location

At the heart of the nursing program, Queensford College has specifically designed a new simulated clinical training facility to provide an optimum learning environment using realistic simulation.

The layout is fitted out with seven hospital beds complete with pressure relieving mattresses, essential bed head units, disabled lavatory, storage and treatment rooms, first aid kits, basic emergency room equipment, and fully equipped training mannequins.
